Patterned Paper Flowers - and another giveaway!

Hello - this is Brenda Carpenter, DT Coordinator for the Scrap-Room! I wanted to share with you how I created the flowers from the Basic Grey Offbeat paper - as seen in this layout-

1. Cut out 2 groups of four petals from the Offbeat patterned paper, leaving a small brown outline around each petal.

2. Layer these petals to form a flower.

3. Use a brad to secure the flower together and adhere to the layout.

Now, I have some FUN flower stamps to giveaway!

*Making Memories “FLOWERS” 11-piece Clear Stamp Set (includes Free Storage Folder)
*Making Memories Large Acrylic Block

Please leave a comment and let me know what your favorite flower is to be entered into the drawing. You have until the end of Sunday(October 5th) to enter.

**All prizes given away on our ScrapRoom Blog will ship out with our next monthly mailing. If you are a ScrapRoom Café Club member, then your prize will ship along with your next monthly kit shipment. If you are NOT a ScrapRoom member receiving our monthly kits, you are still eligible to win a prize, but you will be responsible for actual shipping charges.

  15. Brenda - I just love all the little details that you bring to your pages. We lose so much of that online. I didn't pay close enough attention to the papers in that BG kit to realize that you made those flowers that way. I thought it was a premade element. So fun!

  17. It is so fun to find out how do make patterned paper work in many different ways, and without too many steps too.

I'm not a huge flower person because my allergies make enjoying the real ones a little problematic. I love the look of the wild sunflowers along the side of the road though.
