October Sneak Peek Day #4

Today, we're sneaking a little peek at a layout from Barista, Melanie Call. She has used the Crate Paper Restoration FOTM layout kit and some chipboard and alphabet stickers from the October Embellishment Kit to create this gorgeous layout highlighting her sisters. (Don't they all look alike?!)

October Sneak Peek Day #3

We've got a little peek at the October Doubleshot Kit today. Today's layout features the brand new Elementary line from Studio Calico. There is a definite vintage schoolhouse charm to these papers and embellishments, but with the papers being double-sided, this kit would absolutely work for other themes as well - autumn and everyday come to mind!

Week #36 Weekly Challenge

THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE: Create a "FRAME" for your layout on your layout. This framing design element really packs a lot of punch and directs the eye to whatever is between those framed lines. It can be as easy as a pen-stitched frame around the edges of your page or as bold as thick strips of patterned paper (see Brenda's layout below), or you can take advantage of the great patterned papers that already come all framed out and ready to go. (see Jenny's Sassafras Lass layouts below). How about creating the illusion of a frame by leaving a cardstock edge and postioning your elements within the defined center as Melanie did in her "First School Bus Ride" layout? Any way you want to do it - give framing a go this week!

Upload your layout (along with your real life name) to the WEEK #36 CHALLENGE FOLDER. All layouts must be uploaded by 9:00 a.m. CST on Monday, September 13th.
