If you haven't figured it out already, I like my LO's neat, crisp and tidy. Frankly that whole freestyle movement that rocked the scrapbooking industry awhile back, paralyzed me. I thought it was cool, it was hip, it was trendy......but I couldn't do it. Oh, I tried, but the anal person that lives inside of me wouldn't have it. I will say that the freestyle movement allowed me to break down one wall of my comfort zone - I can now tilt a photo and/or element on my page without flippin' out. :) But still, my eye is drawn to designs that are multi-photo and clean-looking. That's why I love the collage design! Collages allow you to display numerous photos on a layout without it appearing cluttered. And they're completely flexible. If you don't have enough photos, just use the space to add journaling, title or embellishment blocks.
So imagine my excitement when I found Melissa Inman's Quick Collages. Did you see them in Scrapbooks Etc.? I'm not surprised if you didn't. Honestly, they needed to devote a full-page ad to these babies, but you'll only find short sporadic blurbs about them in the mag. They're free downloadable templates for use in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements! And now they've added downloadable photo card collages! You could easily whip up your own Christmas cards this year! Here's the link:

My October recipe card is an example of a Quick Collage in action. Now, normally I do try to create "original" designs for my recipe cards, but I was totally chomping at the bit to use the templates, and I knew that I had to tell you all about them on the blog! I really love how this layout turned out and it was super EASY!
That brings us to the challenge. Follow the link and download a template (or two.....or 20) and create a LO using your collage of choice. The LO can be one or two pages.....whatever you want! I'll give everyone one week to create a layout (Tuesday, Oct. 28th, 12:00 midnight CST). Post a link to your LO in the comments section and maybe include which collage design you used (I used #102). A random winner will be chosen from the participants on the morning of Wednesday, October 29th to win this awesome prize!
