April 2022 JumpStart Sketch Challenge and March Winners Announced

Hello and welcome to the reveal of the 

April JumpStart Sketch

Your challenge is to create a layout inspired by the sketch.

You can flip it, turn it, etc. as long as we can tell your layout was inspired by the sketch.

THE RULES:

Your layout must be NEW as of 

April 2, 2022

NO DIGITAL LAYOUTS

You must upload your layout to the

March Challenges Album

located in our

Facebook Subscribers and Fans Group

by

April 30th, 11:59 PM (PST)

TSR Kit Club subscribers AND non-subscribers

are encouraged to play along with us and although we would love for you to us a TSR Kit,

it is not a requirement to participate in the challenge

For today's inspiration

Designer Nicole Bingaman

created the beautiful layout below based on the sketch using the 

Simple Stories "Vintage Indigo Garden" Page Kit 

included in the 

April Flavors of the Month Kit

and this month's cut file

Nicole:

"As soon as I saw this month's cut file, I knew it would be a perfect fit to combine it with the sketch challenge for April. I cut two of the cut files, one is just flip horizontally. I then just used my scissors to cut off one of the frame pieces so it was a single frame with the beautiful floral.

I used some of the pattern papers from the main kit to the back the cut files, and some scraps of the cream cardstock from the main kit for the leaves. I inked the leaves with stamping ink and a blending brush to get a green "paper".

I then cut out some circle layers as well to add those elements from the sketch. I paired down some of the layers and details on the sketch and went with a more simple approach.

Additional items: green ink, blending brush, digital die cutting machine"
