"I love how both kits work so well together! I combined both kits to document this amazing photo of my newphew at the waterpark. The patterns and elements in both kits mix very nicely. I also used enamel dots and navy letter stickers from my stash."
"This SOL kit was perfect to scrapbook our Spring Break trip to Washington DC. I loved using these pictures of the Washington Monument with this kit. Going through the DC pict ures brought back all the awe and amazement of my first trip to the Nation's Capital! From my stash: Star wood veneers, project life cards for backgrounds, twine and star enamel dots."

Rochelle: "Here's another layout I created using the PhotoPlay Paper Page kit along with the Freaky Fast Formula. To create the sun, I used a stencil and Tim Holtz Inks from my stash. I also used a little bit of Stickles (which I haven't used in years!). The title was cut from my Cameo and then inked." Here's this month's formula...

"The Pebbles, You Got This (July Shots of Life), just spoke “selfies” to me. Even as a 53 year old, I have plenty of selfies! lol I cut each card apart then decided which pictures to use and which cards to use with this layout. To make the top 4” x 4” photo fit into the 4” x 6” spot, I attached a 2” x 4” piece of Pebbles Fri-Yay (July Patterned Paper Kit). Then, I embellished it with the word, Dream (July Embellishment Kit).
I used pieces from Pebbles Ephemera (July Shots of Life) to embellish my cards and page. I even added some to the outside of the page protector! I made a little error on my tiny journaling on the Simple Stories Ephemera (July Embellishment Kit). So, I used ‘white-out’ to, well, white it out. Then, I put a piece of the Bo Bunny Clear Stickers (July Shots of Life) over that so it was less noticeable. A couple of arrow stickers embellish (July Embellishment Kit) a pocket card."
I hope you enjoyed the video and that it's inspired you to ...get more pages done!
"I was so excited when I saw Crate Paper’s Palm Spring paper in the Shots of Life kit. My son recently moved to Palm Springs so I’ve been driving out there every now and again to see him. I’ve always loved Palm Springs and I’m so jealous of his 115 degree weather.
Obviously, I had to scrapbook pictures from a visit with him. I cut apart a few ‘musts’ from the Palm Springs paper to add to my layout. I embellished with Crate Paper’s Tropic, Retreat and Simple Stories’ So Much Fun (Patterned Paper Kit).
I used card stock and alphabet stickers from my stash. Also, the buttons and embroidery floss on the flowers are from my stash.
I don’t know why but I cracked myself up using the #Hi from Pebble’s Phrases (Embellishment Kit). I mean, who uses #Hi?! lol I loved using some of the cute ephemera from Simple Stories (Embellishment Kit), too. Per my usual, I had to use foam tape to attach them to my layout.
I made the flowers out of paper from the Patterned Paper Kit by just cutting circles out, inking the edges then cutting straight lines towards the center. I fluffed them up a little and added a button. I cut the leaves, basically the same way. I creased them down the middle before cutting ‘veins’ into them."
"Fabulous" by: Designer Heather Guy "I enjoyed using the SOL Bo Bunny Love Notes cards from the Petal Lane collection to scrap this page of my little sister and I! With all boys, I rarely get to scrap pink and this kit was just so refreshing! I really wanted the banners on the 2nd 3x4 card to stand out so I used an exacto knife to cut around the edges enough to slide my pic under! Makes them pop off the page and look more like an embellishment instead of part of the card. I used some twine, the "fabulous" thicker and some black cardstock (matting) from my personal stash, but nothing else was needed because this SOL kit was so 'fabulous'!" "We Grow Together" by: Designer Heather Guy
"I used Pebbles Girl Squad from the SOL kit to complete this page of some of my teammates! Used embellishments from the kit as well! (The puffy hearts, gold arrows and 2 4x6 cards are from my personal stash.) As much as I liked the "You Got This" black 3x4 card, I felt like I needed more white in that area so I covered it with the "You're my person" embellishment. Also cut down a photo to cover the bottom of the "Happy Girls Are the Prettiest" card since the bottom of the card did not fit my design."
"Independence Day at The Big A"
by: Designer Robin Redd
"Once I decided to work with the patriotic cards, Pink Paislee's 01, from the Shots of Life kit, I cut them apart and chose my favorite pictures from a previous 4th of July. I laid them out on my choice of 'Shots of Life' page protectors and proceeded to put things in place. I used the smaller pieces from Pink Paislee's 01 as embellishments and layers on my photos and cards.
The photo of the fireworks wasn't the right orientation and i didn't want it in a small 3" x 4" pocket so I used it over a few of the pockets instead of just one. I used red and white card stock from my stash for mats and layers. I used stickers from the Embellishment Kit, too. The '2013' is hand doodled."
When I first saw this kit I was not sure how or what photos I would use to create a
layout with it. I am in love with the wood print paper, the fun colors and the gold accents used in some of the embellishments which add such a nice touch to your projects.
And how about the gold hand written Thicker phrases......AWESOME!!!!
As a bonus, here is a quick sketch I created from my layout, with the dimensions of the
formula notated to make it much easier for you to scraplift my layout, if you
are not in the mood to create your own design using the formula...
