"This playful collection from Photoplay Paper just seemed to scream out to me---"use me for the sketch!" I knew these would come together beautifully and they did. I splattered my cardstock ahead of time and included a few smaller circles to add to the playful nature of the sketch and theme. I love how the bright summery vibe really showcases my photos!"

"I've been married for 30 years to my amazing hubby and mom to two wonderful children. They're my whole world. I grew up in a creative home so have been crafty in various ways all my life. In early 2000 I discovered scrapbooking and was hooked. I'm a lover of paper, embellishments, and layering. The photos and stories of my family's life are the most important to me in scrapbooking and the creative art is just icing on the cake. I love to share my scrappy obsession on my YouTube channel and monthly classes.

"This was such a fun, colorful collection to work with. I loved the circles right away and decided to play a little with the large one in the back. I used the small circle stickers from the sticker sheet and then stitched over the top of them. It was a great addition to the polka dot paper of the other circle. Instead of the small circular photo along the bottom I used the circles 'FUN' from the sticker sheet."

Hello creative people

Today I am sharing the layout I created inspired by the

May 'Be Our Guest" Sketch Challenge

To create my page I used the beautiful 

My Mind's Eye  " On Trend 2" Page Kit

included in the 

May Flavors of the Month Kit

"Happy Girls Are The Prettiest Girls"

I used the right side of the sketch and flipped it up.   I used a 6 x 4 photo instead of a large square photo.  This is the second layout I created with this kit because I just love the soft colors and the pops of gold.   And the fact that is goes so well with photos with lots of green scenery.   

All items used to create this layout are from the kit, except for the twine and the title work.

Hi there!

Today we are featuring two awesome layouts inspired by the

"The Angel Hotel"

"I loved the greens and corals in this collection from My Mind's Eye. They complimented my photo of this beautiful hotel very nicely. 

For the sketch, I rotated the right side counter-clockwise. I didn't copy the sketch exactly but rather used it as inspiration. I kept the vertical strip on the right and extended it from top to bottom. I went with one larger photo instead of two. I really liked the chevrons so included them but oriented them in a way that was more pleasing to my particular layout. From there I just embellished where my eye lead me and then created a pretty title to go with the overall look of my page.

"This layout came together fairly easily thanks to the fun everyday nature of this collection from Elle's Studio. It even gave me a lead to my title! This was a great sketch to show off so many of the different patterns, too.

"I really love this collection! The colors are so fabulous together! For this challenge, I used the Elle's Studio Page kit in the Flavors of the Month. I rotated the sketch to the left and used 1 vertical 4x6" photo instead of 2 square photos. Everything is from the kit except the twine and the title, which is cut form the Cameo."

"Live In the Moment"

Suzanne shared this with us about her layout:

"I created using this month's sketch "as is". I loved using 2 square photos of my daughter and I, taken before a bridal shower. Despite what people say about the "terrible 2s" - I really love this age! I wanted to incorporate that sentiment into the title, along with the "live in the moment" chipboard. The alphas are from the Elle's Studio Letters and Numbers sheet in the April Embellishment Add On Kit, but everything else is from the Bo Bunny "Believe" Page Kit (the cloud paper from the Patterned Paper Add On Kit). I fussy cut several flowers from the patterned papers, in place of the the sketch and layered with more chipboard pieces. I used a distressing tool on several of the layers to add dimension and a bit of white between the vibrant colors. "

"It's A Small World"

Steffanie:

"My assignment was to flip the sketch. It may be hard to tell though since the sketch didn't change much in the flipping! The most notable changes are that the horizontal strip is higher and the title below it instead of above. I also chose to trim both the top and bottom ends of my vertical strip (and I added more). My photos are also larger.

"What a great sketch to work with... I rotated the sketch 90° to the right, and instead of using 3 photos I used one photo and one of the journaling cards from the kit. To complete my page I also used the "B" side of the Pebbles "Honeybee" paper from the March Patterned Paper Kit , the gold arrow paperclip and the AC Foil words are from the FOTM Crate Paper "Bloom" Page Kit and the title work "Hello" is from the Pebbles " Word Stickers" included in the March Embellsihment Kit. I hope my layout and/or the sketch inspires you to create a layout and share with us. I would love to see how this sketch inspires you."

"I currently live in the Seattle area where I am the COO of my family, who are my husband, our two teenage boys and our awesome dog Snickers. One child is the intellectual type. The other has special needs and keeps. Between the two of them, my husband and myself, I have lots of material to keep me going for a very long time.

I've been scrapbooking for a long time. I found online scrapbooking about 5 years ago. That's when I really took off. I scrapbook for fun, for creative exercise. I scrapbook for stress release. I am not an epic storyteller, but my albums are a view into my family's life. I was in retail in my previous life. I've always loved color, texture and pattern. Scrapbooking allows me to continue to combine all of those things I love.

I do both single and 2 page 12x12 layouts. I'm not sure I can define my style, It's constantly evolving. One thing that is consistent, is that I love using product in unexpected ways to create meaning with fun and humor on my pages. My favorite thing to do on my pages right now is to create layers and clusters with paper and embellishments that come together to tell a cohesive story in the end.

"Hello Spring"

Devra shared this with us about her reveal:
"I used the sketch as it was designed, however I used one 4x6 photo supported by the 2 smaller ones. I used the Pebbles kraft patterns, which were great for the theme of my page. To add more color, I fussy cut some hexagons. The Hello title sticker comes from the Embellishment kit. Lastly, I added a couple of extra horizontal banner strips by using the bar code strip from the bottom of the papers."
