April "Be Our Guest" Sketch Challenge Inspiration ~ TSR Designers Steffanie & Rochelle

Good morning!

Today we have doubled up on the 

April "Be Our Guest" Sketch Inspiration

TSR Designers Steffanie and Rochelle both used the wonderful 

Elle's Studio "Little Moments" Page Kit

included in the 

April Flavors of the Month Kit

Gotta love this page kit and all of the yummy patterned papers and embellishments!

Our first layout is the awesome work of Steffamie:

"This Matters"

Steffanie:

"This layout came together fairly easily thanks to the fun everyday nature of this collection from Elle's Studio. It even gave me a lead to my title! This was a great sketch to show off so many of the different patterns, too.

Patterned paper add-on kit: ES Happiness, ES Highlights

Personal stash: enamel dots, wood hearts/people, washi tape

And the second layout was created by Rochelle who rotated the sketch:

" Lil' Miss Autumn" 

Rochelle:

"I really love this collection! The colors are so fabulous together! For this challenge, I used the Elle's Studio Page kit in the Flavors of the Month. I rotated the sketch to the left and used 1 vertical 4x6" photo instead of 2 square photos. Everything is from the kit except the twine and the title, which is cut form the Cameo."

It's time to reveal our

April "Be Our Guest" Sketch Challenge

Here's the sketch:

Your challenge is to create a layout inspired by the sketch.

You are allowed to flip it, turn it, etc as long as we can tell your layout was inspired by the sketch.

THE RULES:

• Your layout must be NEW as of  April 4, 2016
NO DIGITAL LAYOUTS
• You must be a FOLLOWER of our blog.
• You must link your entry below with Mr. Linky by
April 30th, 11:59 PM (PST)
• You must include a LINK back to this challenge post when posting your layout on your blog or gallery.

TSR Kit Club subscribers and non-subscribers are encouraged to play along with us.

Although we would love it if you used product from one of our kits, it is not required!

The person chosen, will be awarded a Flavors of the Month Kit and required to 

create (4) layouts using the kit, which will be featured here and on The ScrapRoom website in June.

If selected, you must be willing to complete your projects within our deadline and you must
have an updated blog and a facebook account.

With regret…only US and Canadian residents will be selected because of

unpredictable international shipping time frames.

"My name is Suzanne and apparently I need to join this century and take some selfies smile emoticon Here's our Christmas card pic that captures my little family - hubby Dave and daughter McKenna. When I'm not teaching the first grade or making memories with this crew - you'll find me in me playing with paper and photos! I love documenting our life's story through, both pocket pages and traditional layouts. I am honored to be apart of The ScrapRoom team this month and create with the April Kit. I hope you are inspired by my projects, as I have been by so many others here!"

"Live In the Moment"

Suzanne shared this with us about her layout:

"I created using this month's sketch "as is". I loved using 2 square photos of my daughter and I, taken before a bridal shower. Despite what people say about the "terrible 2s" - I really love this age! I wanted to incorporate that sentiment into the title, along with the "live in the moment" chipboard. The alphas are from the Elle's Studio Letters and Numbers sheet in the April Embellishment Add On Kit, but everything else is from the Bo Bunny "Believe" Page Kit (the cloud paper from the Patterned Paper Add On Kit). I fussy cut several flowers from the patterned papers, in place of the the sketch and layered with more chipboard pieces. I used a distressing tool on several of the layers to add dimension and a bit of white between the vibrant colors. "
