It's time to take a closer look at the

December Doubleshot Kit!

The Scrap-Room's Doubleshot Kit consists of

Fancy Pants Designs "Holiday Hustle" Page Kit:

Lisa said this about her layout:
"I absolutely fell in love with the papers in this kit! I love the subtleness of the colors and the addition of the blue gives it a nontraditional holiday feel, perfect for those tree decorating photos! To make the fun papers pop even more I added some black cardstock from my stash to mount all the papers on instead of my usual technique of inking the edges of my papers!
From my stash: enamel dots, sticker letters and black cardstock."

Brenda shared this with us about her layout:

"When I first saw this kit I was not sure if I liked it or not, but after creating a page with it

I am totally in love with it.  It is so nice to have page kits to work with that are not the typical

"traditional" Christmas colors.   I really like how well this kit worked with my 

black and white photo.  Love the embellishments in this kit, especially the wooden ornaments.

To complete my page, I fussy cut three presents from the "All Wrapped Up" patterned paper 

in the kit and added raw cardstock to the back of each.   I also added the following embellishments

from my personal stash:

Wood veneer Christmas, "Love" Speech Bubble, and Snow flakes.

 I am looking forward to creating another page or two with this kit.

December "JumpStart" Sketch Challenge Inspiration ~ Designer Stephanie Seiler

Happy Monday!

Today we are showcasing the amazing layout

created inspired by this month's sketch.

To create her layout, Steffanie used the

Steffanie:

"I rotated the sketch counter-clockwise. I did this primarily because my photos were horizontal, not vertical as they are in the sketch. That, and I just wanted to be different! 

Simple stories is always a favorite of mine. The colors, the variety of prints, the sticker sheets...there is always such a great assortment of things to choose from. And if you get the embellishment kit, there are chipboard pieces to give you even MORE choices. I managed to create this entire layout using NOTHING from my stash. Well, except for the cardstock base. I swapped out the black for vanilla, but that's just personal preference. And the best part? I still have a lot of the kit left to create more stuff!"

Ashley:

"I matted some of the word stickers on the scraps of pink paper that were left over, inked the edges and then formed them into the shape of a Christmas tree. I also changed the tag that came with my embellishments because it had "snow" words on it. I just covered them up with some Christmas phrases and it worked with the page I was making."

Ashley used the following items from her stash to complete her page:

Twine, Letter Stickers, and Ink
