Today we are showcasing the amazing layout 

Designer Steffanie Seiler 

created inspired by this month's sketch.

To create her layout, Steffanie used the

combined with the

"Happy Holidays"

Steffanie:

"I rotated the sketch counter-clockwise. I did this primarily because my photos were horizontal, not vertical as they are in the sketch. That, and I just wanted to be different! 

Simple stories is always a favorite of mine. The colors, the variety of prints, the sticker sheets...there is always such a great assortment of things to choose from. And if you get the embellishment kit, there are chipboard pieces to give you even MORE choices. I managed to create this entire layout using NOTHING from my stash. Well, except for the cardstock base. I swapped out the black for vanilla, but that's just personal preference. And the best part? I still have a lot of the kit left to create more stuff!"

"FALALA"

Steffanie said this about her layout:

"LOVE the muted colors of this collection! It really gives you a lot of room to play and lets your photo take center stage. I splattered white cardstock with coordinating red and green before getting started. I chose a single photo and cut some different sized pieces of patterned paper to layer beneath and help to frame it. I knew right away that I wanted to used the "festive" print (with FALALA on one side) as part of my title. I chose to box cut the letters individually and create a banner. I used both of the adorable paper clips included in the kit and also the glitter frame, which I layered over the snowman card, and the acetate snowflake. From the embellishment kit, I chose a few of the phrase stickers. I love the soft feel of this page. It makes me feel cozy inside!

"Make a Wish"

"Adorable is all I can say to describe the Crate Paper kit! I love the touches of pink in it!!! I printed a small picture of the original 4x6 picture of my niece to put the frame embellishment on. From my stash I added the "Make a Wish" title, twine (from FOTM Carta Bella kit) and a couple of puffy hearts from a former FOTM kit."

"Merry Christmas"

Heather said this about her layout:

"Just going to admit this, I struggle with full page design papers! Really didn't think I would use it, but after printing these pictures (which I originally thought I would use on the Sketch Layout but changed my mind), I decided to give this paper a try!!! I love how it turned out! It was so simple and came together so quickly!!! I used nothing from my personal stash except the punch. And because the paper is already busy, I only used one ephemera, the twine and the enamel dots from the kit to embellish this page! Oh, and look at my little men from 3 years ago at their school Holiday Christmas program! Aren't they the cutest?!?!?!?"

"Make it Merry"

Steffanie said this about her layout:
"This collection reminded me of old greeting cards my grandma had tucked away in a shoe box. Very reminiscent of a time long ago. To be honest, I wasn't sure what direction I was going to go with this particular kit. Placing any "current" photos on this just seemed like it was going to be out of place. But, then I stumbled upon these and the colors seemed right...so I went with it.
I kept the design pretty simple while still managing to including bits and pieces of nearly every print in the kit. I made a couple of tags and tucked them behind the larger photo. I cut apart a die-cut frame and used it as a border element peeking out from behind my photos (red stripe scallops). The enamel dots were a great way to add a little interest to the layout, along with a few wood stars from my stash. In the end, I really like how it turned out!"
Steffanie also used the Embellishment Add-On Kit and from her own Stash: twine, eyelets, wood stars, chipboard and sticker alphabets.

"Shiny Brite Christmas Village"

"This retro collection reminded me of my Vintage Shiny Brite Christmas Village. I fussy cut the ornaments, pop dotted them off the page and used the twine to "hang" them from the top of the page"

 "Look What's Cooking!"

Steffanie:

"I layered several of the cuts to the left and then worked my photos toward the right. This collection from Carta Bella is very warm and home-y. The "homemade" tag made me think of home-cooking. The colors in this collection really complimented these photos nicely, don't you think? I used a few die-cuts in my fotm kit and also added some stickers from the embellishment kit. 

I love how it turned out!"

Ashley said this about her layout: 

"This is such a cute collection! Perfect for some fun, fall photos. There were so many adorable stickers it was hard to choose which ones to use. I made several embellishment clusters and finished the page off with sequins, Stickles glitter glue, and some white spray ink."

* Ashley also used the Embellishment kit and sequins, twine, Stickles, and  spray ink from her own stash.

"Ahhh...the beauty of fall. Probably the most colorful time of the year. Echo Park does not disappoint with this wonderful collection to scrap all those great fall photos. I love how they paired the orange, yellow, red and browns with the turquoise blue. It just makes everything pop. They really complimented my photos nicely and I loved adding the cute woodsy animals to my page."

American Crafts ~ "Star Gazer" Inspiration

"Adventure"

Steffanie said this about her layouts: 

"This collection from American Crafts had a nice variety of prints to play with. I ended up using 5 out of the 6 possibilities. The theme of the collection led me to these photos. Although we are not star gazing (it's actually early morning), the photos are dark with silhouette images which feels more like sunset than morning! But, if you think about it, the sun is a star, right? The dark blue and the star print played well into my photos as did the flair and some of the die-cuts. It totally worked!"

"Always Awesome"

"As a mom of all boys, it is always refreshing for me to see papers and kits for boys! And all the geometric patterns in the papers were fun, fun, fun! These pictures of my triplets were taken on their first day of 6th grade! This FOTM kit was so perfect for scrapping these pictures that I didn't need to use anything from stash! I kept very close to the October Sketch when scrapping this page."

"Halloween"

Steffanie:

"I'm going to let you in on a little secret about me. I'm a sucker for Halloween collections. Seriously. I have quite the stash. More than I can possible use with the number of Halloweens that my boys have dressed up for and the amount of photos I have taken. That said...I can't get enough. This one from Fancy Pants is no exception. LOVE IT. My design is inspired by this months' sketch from The ScrapRoom. I made a few minor changes but really stayed pretty true to the design. I decided to use the treat sack as a pocket for an additional photo, a journal card and another embellishement. I decorated the outside of the bag too, which ended up serving as the title for my page. Great die-cuts to choose from. The only things I added were a few sequins and an eyelet for the tag."

Steffanie:

"I LOVE the bright vibrant colors in this collection from American Crafts! The kit provides a nice variety of prints from small and subtle to big and bold. This wonderful mix made it an easy kit to work with for the Freak Fast Formula. I chose the bold stripe for the largest cut as I wanted to showcase that piece in a big way. From there it was just playing around with the different patterns and embellishments until I came up with something that made me happy---which was super easy with this one! I enjoyed playing with this collection so much that I just may need to find myself some more ;-)"

I added a little bit of gold washi tape from my personal stash to the layout. My granddaughter loves the cute summer dresses and of course those two fingers. She was winding down for her afternoon nap when these pictures were taken."
