Lisa said this about her layout:

"I felt this line was perfect for pictures of these two sweet sisters! I added some jewels from a past FOTM kit as well as some punched vellum leaves to add to the flower sticker I used to accent my picture.

From my stash: vellum, circle die, letter stickers and jewels."

Nicole said this about her layout:

When I saw how feminine the Maggie Holmes kit was I pulled out some photos from a few years ago of my daughter in one of my favorite dresses. I went with a simple page design to allow focus to remain on the photos and used a mix of stickers from the main kit and the embellishment add on kit to frame my favorite photo in the center.  "

"When I saw the paper with the pinwheel flowers I knew right away they would make the most perfect fussy cut embellishments for my layout! The epoxy elements finished out this layout of my friend's son and DIL on a family vacation to Florida last year!"

"What is not to La La Love about the Crate Paper kit!! All the great patterns and the touches of blue with the pink and red made for easy scrapping of my nephew. With great embellishments and chipboard and washi tape, the only thing I added from my stash was the twine for the tag."

"FALALA"

Steffanie said this about her layout:

"LOVE the muted colors of this collection! It really gives you a lot of room to play and lets your photo take center stage. I splattered white cardstock with coordinating red and green before getting started. I chose a single photo and cut some different sized pieces of patterned paper to layer beneath and help to frame it. I knew right away that I wanted to used the "festive" print (with FALALA on one side) as part of my title. I chose to box cut the letters individually and create a banner. I used both of the adorable paper clips included in the kit and also the glitter frame, which I layered over the snowman card, and the acetate snowflake. From the embellishment kit, I chose a few of the phrase stickers. I love the soft feel of this page. It makes me feel cozy inside!

"Make a Wish"

Heather shares this about her layout:
"Adorable is all I can say to describe the Crate Paper kit! I love the touches of pink in it!!! I printed a small picture of the original 4x6 picture of my niece to put the frame embellishment on. From my stash I added the "Make a Wish" title, twine (from FOTM Carta Bella kit) and a couple of puffy hearts from a former FOTM kit."

Crate Paper "Oasis" Page Kit Reveal & Inspiration

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!

This week, we are going to take a closer look at the "Flavors" (Page kits) that are in the

July Flavors of the Month Kit!

Let's start with the 

Crate Paper "Oasis" Page Kit:

Fun collection! 

Here's some inspiration from our Designers: 

"Sea, Sun, Fun"

Designer: Ashley Smith

Ashley said this about her layout:

"My favorite paper in this collection is the pink paper with the palm fronds and I wanted to make sure I could see plenty of it when I made the layout. I matted the photo on two pieces of patterned paper and folded up the edges around the picture to give it some texture and dimension. I wanted to keep the page fairly simple and keep the focus on the photo, so I put the embellishment clusters near the edges of the page. For repetition I made sure each embellishment cluster had a circular element and a little bit of gold. Sometimes I will handwrite my journaling, but the pink paper is a little busy, so I printed it on white cardstock and cut it into strips."

Ashley also used the Embellishment Add-On kit to create her layout.

"Right Here"

Designer: Steffanie Seiler

Stephanie said this about her layout:

"I started this page with one of the patterned papers in the kit as my background piece. It made for some nice subtle interest to my page which is overall pretty mellow in terms of color. I decided to do something fun with the other two pieces of patterned paper in the kit. Rather than just cut strips or blocks, I went to my Silhouette. I have always wanted to do an outline cut and fill with patterned paper. Since these photos were taken on Cape Cod, I went with an outline of the state of Massachusetts and filled with one of the smaller prints. With another print, I punched semi-circles creating a border at the bottom and also placing a few above my top photo for unity.

I have to say, this collection was very much out of my comfort zone. But I really like how it came together. The phrase stickers and other embellishments were fun to play with. And I LOVE how it all makes my photos pop!"

Stephanie also used the Embellishment Add-On kit and from her own stash - Twine, Washi Tape, Thickers, wood shapes, Silhouette cuts and circle punch.

"I really like the beautiful colors in this kit and my first thought was to use it to scrap photos of my oldest granddaughter, but then I saw that I had these adorable photos of my youngest granddaughter Phoenix and had to create a page for her because as the tag says, she is a "Sweetheart"
Everything used to create my layout is from the 'Cute Girl" Page Kit with the exception of the 
wood veneer pieces included in this month's Embellishment Add On Kit and the arrow is from
the Simple Stories "Posh" Page Kit."
