Doubleshot Layout Reveal #2

It's time to reveal the other half of the April Doubleshot Kit!
Here's some layouts from our designers using the
My Mind's Eye "Happy Camper" page kit:

"Lets Ride"
by Brenda:
"When I first saw this kit, I knew it would be used for a boy layout since I do not camp. The photos of my great-nephews trying out the peace officer's motorcycle matched perfectly with this collection.
All items are from the kit except for the title work which is from my personal stash!"

"Giddy Up"
by: Rochelle
"I'm not a Camper, but this collection was perfect for photos taken of my children while at a zoo with their Grandparents. Everything is from the kit except title and twine."

Here's the April Doublshot kit:

Doubleshot Kit Layout Reveal #1

Happy Monday!

How about some Doubleshot inspiration!

The Doubleshot kit is a smaller version of the Flavors of the Month.  It consists of 2 page kits, enough to create at least 4 single 12x12 layouts or at least 2 double page layouts.
The price for the Doubleshot kit is $15 (membership) or $17 (non-membership).

Here's some layouts from our designers using the
Simple Stories "Let's Party" page kit:

"HOORAY"
by Brenda:

"Another awesome page kit this month!!! This kit is great for children and adult birthday photos or could easily be used to scrap some everyday fun photos!
For the design of my page I used this month’s “Be Our Guest” sketch. I used my Cricut to cut the banner, tag and photo frame from the “Make A Wish” patterned paper. I wanted to layer with the green polka (the B side) of the “Yippee” paper, so I cut a rectangle out of the middle of the paper where I planned on adding the layers of the other papers. The stars were fussy cut from the “B side” of the “Make a Wish” patterned paper and the Happy Birthday banner was fussy cut from one of the journaling cards included in the kit. I also cut the tab on the right side of the journal card from one of the other journal cards included in the kit. The phrase sticker sheets are from a previous FOTM kit."

"Surprise"
by Dee:
"I enjoyed working with this line because I could use for any age. I used gold leaf on the #80 to give some bling on the layout. Everything is from the kit except title, twine and View Master Reel which was cut from a die cutting machine."

"Party Time"
by Rochelle
"This is a layout of my and my friend at the Simple Stories Birtthday Bash at CHA.  Doily, flowers, twine and title from personal stash. Everything else is from the kit."

Here's the April Doubleshot Kit:

Daily Inspiration: Layout of the Day!

Brenda Ragsdale created today's fabulous, featured page from the Pebbles Harvest line found in the October 2015 Doubleshot Club Kit.  I love how she used the apples to make a "Back 2 School" page! The apple paper is on the opposite side of the green paper shown in the TSR kit collection.  The darker green paper, shown here, is on the backside of the flower paper from the TSR October 2015 Doubleshot Kit collection.

Daily Inspiration: Layout of the Day!

Our featured layout for today is a Month in Review created by Brenda Ragsdale.  Brenda used the Dear Lizzy Documentary line.  I love how clean her design is, while drawing your attention to her monthly highlights!

All the instructions to this layout are included with your October 2015 Flavor of the Month Kit.

Daily Inspiration: Layout of the Day!

Brenda Ragsdale created this adorable layout with the Amy Tan Finders Keepers line.  The graph paper is on the backside of Magnify, (the sheet with all the circles), from our Patterned Paper kit. I love the color combinations to this line and could not get enough of the royal blue.  Perfect for Indian Summer days or anytime!

October's Sketch

Do you like grids as much as some of us do?  Did you see this month's sketch?

This month's sketch is from Pagemaps.  I love Rochelle's spin on it, (literally).  Rochelle rotated the sketch a quarter for this fun take with the Pink Paislee Memorandum line:

Heather created a more literal translation of the sketch with the Amy Tan Finders Keepers line. She incorporated frames and puffy stickers into her cute layout using the October 2015 Embellishment Kit:

Brenda's sketch layout was made with the Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice line.  The distressed wood paper that she used from the Patterned Paper Club is an awesome backdrop to her "Autumn Fun" page:

I was surprised how much that I enjoyed the Carta Bella Trick or Treat line from the Doublshot Kit being that we don't do much for Halloween anymore.  The papers and stickers are super cute and all look so great together. I enjoyed the grid but wanted to add more orange so I double matted my photos.  I, also, used strips of the orange cardstock from the kit to add dimension and create an easier backdrop for the embellishments and journal strips to stand out in the center:

Hope you will join us with this month's sketch.  If you would consider leaving a link, we would love to see your creations.  I heard that there might be some sleuthing for projects made with The ScrapRoom Kits, (past and current), for an Eye Spy feature every once in awhile.

Daily Inspiration: Layout of the Day!

The Crate Paper Journey line makes for an incredible display of your travel photographs.  Although I had too many traveling photographs to follow through with the idea, I thought it would even make well for some heartfelt "staycation" photographs. The ScrapRoom designer, Brenda Ragsdale took advantage of some of the travel icons to make a page showing her love of travel.  The cork embellishments are a fantastic accessory to her, (and your), pages.
Did you notice the extra sheet of paper in this kit?  It caused me a little confusion.  In fact, (insert embarrassed face icon here), I e-mailed Tammy telling her that I thought the she listed the wrong papers on the reveal.  I'm lucky that she is so patient with my foibles. It turns out that she has three regular papers, an embellishment paper and the partial sheet of corkboard stickers.

Daily Inspiration: Layout of the Day!

Featuring The ScrapRoom Designer, Brenda Ragsdale, with a lively page from the Simple Stories So Rad line today.  The base paper is the back of the plaid that you see in the Flavor of the Month Kit.  It adds so much texture without the mess of paints; and, don't those cork stickers look like the real thing. Also, I'm enamored with Brenda's use of small bits of patterned paper and clever title - so fitting to the pictures.  Want a close-up?
Hope that you're having a good day.  Cannot believe that my kiddos will be back in school in only about two weeks.
