Here's what Nicole said about her layout:

I had a goof with this kit and somehow managed to mix up the cardstock - so pretend this is on a beautiful kraft cardstock that actual came with the kit lol. I followed the bones of the sketch and removed the banner piece and turned the photos into a collage area that also included a spot for journaling.
Additional items - white cardstock for journal spot, foam stickers from embellishment add on kit, date stamp

Project Life Inspiration: Sketch Book

Hello TSR friends! Today for my Project Life post, I'd like to offer you another set of title card sketches. File these away under quick and easy.

I think I am going to print out all of the Project Life sketches that I have created (and saved on Pinterest).  A binder of sketches will help me "Get more pages done!"

October's Sketch

Do you like grids as much as some of us do?  Did you see this month's sketch?

This month's sketch is from Pagemaps.  I love Rochelle's spin on it, (literally).  Rochelle rotated the sketch a quarter for this fun take with the Pink Paislee Memorandum line:

Heather created a more literal translation of the sketch with the Amy Tan Finders Keepers line. She incorporated frames and puffy stickers into her cute layout using the October 2015 Embellishment Kit:

Brenda's sketch layout was made with the Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice line.  The distressed wood paper that she used from the Patterned Paper Club is an awesome backdrop to her "Autumn Fun" page:

I was surprised how much that I enjoyed the Carta Bella Trick or Treat line from the Doublshot Kit being that we don't do much for Halloween anymore.  The papers and stickers are super cute and all look so great together. I enjoyed the grid but wanted to add more orange so I double matted my photos.  I, also, used strips of the orange cardstock from the kit to add dimension and create an easier backdrop for the embellishments and journal strips to stand out in the center:

Project Life: Two Pics and a Sketch

As I was working on my September layouts, I realized that I had a strange mix of photos. For a couple of events, I had large quantities of pictures. However, there were some really random photos that I didn't want to leave out, but I didn't have enough random pictures to make a monthly spread. That is how I ended up with a page that only contains two pictures. Surprisingly, though, I like it. So, today I thought I'd share how I was able to stretch two small 3" by 4" pictures into a whole pocket page spread.

Lost Tooth

The first thing that made me want to create a whole page out of two pictures was the Simple Stories Boy Cards that came in the Project Life kit. The "Hot Stuff" one with the glasses is perfect for the picture of my little fella wearing his brother's glasses. And the "Hang Loose" card reminds me of the loose tooth that my son finally pulled. 

To complete the page, I grabbed a journaling card and an extra card for the sticker that was on my son's shirt when he got home from school the day he pulled his tooth. After those four cards were in the 3x4 inch slots, I knew I'd have to put the pictures in the larger slots. One of them fit perfectly over the journaling lines on the "What Ever" once I cropped it. I put the other one on a filler card.

For my title card, I cut out a large tooth and simple title on my Silhouette Cameo. The date was added with stickers from the kit. I used two washi tape stickers on the top and bottom of the green paper to add a bit more pattern. All those extra details helped the page feel full even though it only has two small pictures.

As a bonus, I created a sketch out of today's title card. I hope you like it and can use it. And I hope you won't let a limited number of pictures keep you from documenting your memories and getting more pages done!  See you soon.

Project Life: August Sketches

Hi friends! I had so much fun creating new title card designs last month that I decided to challenge myself to a repeat performance for August. After all, school is about to start and I won't have nearly as much free time, so I thought I would create a couple of more sketches to make scrapping fast and easy during the school year. That's what I'd like to share with you today: two more Project Life sketches.

August Sketch #1

For this sketch, I was inspired by the banner die cuts and the library card journal card from the October Afternoon Public Library collection.  Adding a 3x4 to my 4x6 title card with a few other embellishments is a quick and easy solution when you don't have any 4x6 cards.

August Sketch #2

For this card, I really wanted to showcase the wooden circle embellishments by Elle's Studio. I backed them with some scrap pieces to really help them stand out. For the gray card, I cut out one of the polaroid shapes from one of the papers in the kit and turned it sideways.  We often have polaroid style die cuts in our kits, so this sketch can be reused for a variety of pages.

Project Life Inspiration: New Sketches!

Hi friends.  It's been a while since I've posted any new Project Life sketches. Partly because I tend to use the same ones over and over in my own pages. This month, however, I came up with a couple of new layouts, so I made sketches.  Here's the spread.

Both of these sketches were inspired by the chipboard pieces in the My Mind's Eye Ashbury Heights kit that came in the July Flavors of the Month.  I have a lot of these small chipboard pieces in my kits and my stash, so I wanted to figure out a way to really highlight them on my cards.

Weekend Inspiration: Sketch Challenge!

I love to send you into the weekend with a little extra inspiration and a challenge to pull out those supplies and create a page or two. This weekend, our focus will be on our monthly sketch. Each month, we feature a sketch and a couple of examples of layouts that were created based on the sketch. This month's sketch turns out some really beautiful layouts, as you'll see from our designer examples.

Your challenge this weekend is to create a layout based on the monthly sketch. You can use any supplies you have on hand, and your layout can be exactly like the sketch or loosely based on the sketch. We just want to see how it inspires you! Project Life Inspiration: Sketch

It's been a while since I've created a Project Life sketch, so I thought I would put one together for April.  The sketch was inspired by one of my journaling cards from this month's pages.

Rather than a journaling card, I created a Title Card sketch since those are the ones that I tend to turn to the most.  Here's the sketch.

Project Life (or card) Sketch

Hi there ScrapRoom peeps.  Aphra here today to share another Project Life sketch with you.  I used the sketch as the basis for my title card for my Week 47 spread, but you could just as easily use it to create a card or for creating a title area on a layout.  

 As you can see, the basis of the sketch is a polaroid die cut.  I used the one that came in my Jillibean Soup Flavors of the Month kit.  If you don't have a pre-made, you could use your square punch to create one or you could cut one on your die cut machine.  The other shapes on the sketch are simple ones that you could duplicate with your punches or die cut machine as well.

Project Life: September Sketch

We are interrupting our regularly scheduled "Sneaks" to bring you one final look at our September kits at work - Project Life style!

Hi there.  Aphra here today to share another Project Life layout and sketch.  This layout ended up being the last one that I made with this month's kits, so it is a mix up of both the Project Life kit and a couple of Flavors of the Month page kits.  I love that so many different pieces coordinated.  

Project Life: September

For my sketch this month, I used a some very simple shapes to create my title card.  I really wanted to show off the wooden camera embellishment and large Thicker numbers. 

 The rest of my cards were straight from the kit, just cut and put in the pockets.  In fact, the only embellishments that I used were a sticker and a camera.  The movie picture is one that I downloaded straight from the Internet.  I do that a lot when I don't have enough pictures.

Project Life Sketches

As I put my Project Life pages together, I find that I use some layouts over and over.  And when I discover a new layout that really works for me, I create a sketch that I print out and keep with my supplies.  This helps me to "Get More Pages (or pockets) Done" each month.  Today, I thought I'd share some of those sketches with you.
