November Kits Extra Design Team Layouts

Hello and welcome to our blog!
Today we are showcasing a few extra layouts created by our designers using product from our

First up is a lovely double page layout crated by
Designer Grace Tolman
To create this page, Grace combined some of the page kits included in the
with the
 "Let’s Go"
Grace:
"This is my extra page of the month and so I mixed all of the scraps from the 4 mini collections to dress this page up. I love how despite being from various collections and manufacturers, they can all blend together.
I had a hard time finding a title for this page. When I was looking at the Thickers set that I got, there was this word that said “let go”. It was nice but it didn’t fit my theme. But then there was a word next to it that said “rest”. I don’t like to break apart words but I knew that I would never use the word “rest” so I used the “s” in that word to make a title that said “Let’s Go”. I used a dot for an “I” for the apostrophe too. I feel so much better that I was able to make a title that fits better for my page and I used the items that I had on hand."

Personal stash items used:
Ink (Distress Ink); Border punch (Fiskars)

The next three layouts were created using product from the
Photoplay "Confetti" Page Kit
include in this month's

Designer Rochelle Spears
"Happy Birthday"

Designer Dee Hunt
"IHOP"
Dee:
"I made this extra layout as a complementary page to my celebrate layout."

Designer Dee Hunt
"Happy Birthday"
Dee:
"We can get one more sheet of black paper for my background from my stash.
And I was able to really stretch this collection into three layouts."

October Freaky Fast Formula Inspiration ~ Designer Grace Tolman

Happy Friday everyone!
Today's feature is a layout created by
Designer Grace Tolman
based on this months formula using the
American Crafts-Amy Tangerine “Slice of Life” Page Kit
combined with this months
Embellishment Add On Kit:
"Smile, You are Amazing"
Grace:
"This is my take on this month’s Freaky Fast Friday challenge. I loved how the predetermined paper sizes really do make the process faster. I opted to use the strips of papers in the challenge as my top and bottom borders. I also cut out a fish tail banner on the other two papers to add banners to my page.
From there it was just a matter of “dressing” up the page which didn’t take long since there were many cute die cuts and foam stickers included in this mini kit."
Personal stash items used:
Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things, Distress ink)

Inspired and want to see how Grace put this layout together...check out her process video:

Designer Grace Tolman
created inspired by the sketch, using the
Carta Bella “Fall Market”
combined with this month's
Embellishment AddOn Kit
"Be Unique"
Grace:
"This is my take on this month’s sketch. I liked the banners and circle but I felt like it needed something more so I added the epoxy banner stickers to the top right edge. It also became a visual triangle element which I used to connect with the black title letter words (bottom right) and black heart (center left).
I didn’t have the square photos so instead, I used 4 3x4 photos.
I inked the edged with some orange ink pad so that I can created emphasis to the shapes but also to add more “fall” colors into the page."

Personal stash items used:
Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Distress mini ink pad, Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Circle cutter (Creative Memories)

And as a bonus, Grace has created a process video to share with us:

June Kits ~ Design Team Extra Projects

several of the page kits included in this month's
combined with the
Designer Grace Tolman
created the fun page and the awesome card kit below:
"Smores Day"
Grace:
"This is my “extra” project for the month. I based the design of my layout with this month’s sketch. I love the multi-photo aspect of the sketch and couldn’t pass up trying it for these photos of my kids enjoying some Smores treat on “Smores day”. I combined a few pattern papers from the different FOTM mini kits and I love that they can coordinate well, even though they’re from different collections. I finished off the page with some stickers."

Personal stash items used:
Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Distress mini ink pad, Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); Letter stickers (Teresa Collins, Source unknown)

 Quilt Scrap Background Card Set
Grace:
"I always make my cards last when it comes to creating with the FOTM kit. I find that the scraps always inspire me to what kind of cards I end up with. With this set, I cut the scrap paper into 2” squares and then laid them diagonally onto a 4x5 ¼” piece of scrap paper. I trimmed whatever excess hang over the large paper piece and then added my “quilt” design background onto a card base.
Since this background is so busy, I didn’t have to take too much time to add the sentiment and a sticker accent. Everything came together with the addition of some rhinestones in three different spots on the card."
Personal stash items used:
Card bases (Recollections); Sentiment stamp (Inspired By Stamping); Ink (Versamark, Tsukineko); Copper embossing powder (source unknown); Rhinestones (Doodlebug Design Inc.)

Using the
Simple Stories "
Sunshine & Blue Skies" Page Kit
included in this month's
Designer Dee Hunt
created the lovely page below:
Dee:
I mattered most of the paper to give it depth. I also used wood elements and color them with gold glitter paint. Got into my stash for a tag and title. I got a love when my granddaughter loves to do faces and her pictures.

Designer Dee Hunt
also created the layout below using the
PhotoPlay "Best Dad Ever" Page Kit
included in this month's
"O-Fish-Cial"
Dee:
"I did a little mixture of Washi Tape and strips of paper to do my background. Are used one of the element cards and cut the fish out and use pop dots to raise him up. I also cut out a fly and place it on top of the twine. This is a very great picture of my father-in-law."\

November Kits ~ Card Inspiration

Hello
Today we are showcasing the beautiful cards some of our designers created
using the
November Flavors of the Month Kit

Designer Lisa Hidy
created several cards using page kits included in this month's kit.
My Minds Eye "Well, Hello" Page Kit
 Personal stash items used:
Flower/leaf punch; pink/orange/blue cardstock

Jen Hadfield/Pebbles "Along the Way" Page Kit
 Personal stash items used:
Enamel dots, black card stock, card base and flower punch

Echo Park "Celebrate Autumn" Page Kit
 Personal stash items used:
Card base and rust card stock.

Designer Grace Tolman
created the card kit below using the
Jen Hadfield/Pebbles “Along the Way” Page Kit
combined with this month's
 Embellishment Add On Kit
"Life is an Adventure"
These cards were inspired by the die cuts from this collection. They are so delightful. I highlighted two of them for each card.
I also used the scraps of paper, alternating the size of them, on each card. By using them in varying sizes, each card looked different from each other.
Personal stash items used:
White A2 Card bases; Distress Ink (Tea Dye); Nuvo drops (Caribbean blue)

"My very-first layout of my very-first grand child! I loved using the Dream Big line from Simple Stories for this layout. The colors just cheer me up and who doesn’t love a mermaid?! The ephemera and puffy stickers are such a fun touch.
I used elements from the September Shots of Life kit, the Embellishment kit and the Patterned Paper kit!"

Mixing Up the Kits with Robin Redd! :)

Hello Everyone!

Today, we're sharing this awesome layout Robin Redd created
by mixing up the different Kits from the ScrapRoom
Robin said this about her layout:
"Happy Scrappin'! My little boy is now a grown man, so I chose to use pictures of my little boy dog with the Simple Stories Lil' Dude line. I used elements from the Patterned Paper Kit, the Shots of Life Kit and the Embellishment kit to complete this layout. I used a few Fancy Pants, On Our Way elements on this page, as well. My stash: Letters used to spell out boys and toys. Cardstock"

August "JumpStart" Sketch Inspiration

Hello subscribers and friends!
Today we are showcasing two amazing layouts created by our designers,
inspired by the
using two of the four page kits included in this month's
Flavors of the Month Kit

Our first layout was created by

Designer Lisa Hidy
using the
Fancy Pants "On OurWay" Page Kit

"Road Trip"
Lisa:

"I followed the sketch pretty closely using my dies to cut out a starburst and circle for my title. I mounted the word "ROAD TRIP" on black cardstock to make it pop. My journaling was done with a white gel pen. The papers in this line are so bright and vibrant and were perfect for these pictures of my brother and his family going for a Summer day bike ride."
Items used from Lisa's personal stash to complete her layout:
  black cardstock & white pen.

Designer Grace Tolman
used the
Pebbles "My Bright Side" Page Kit
in combination with the
August Embellishment Add On Kit
to create her take on the sketch:
"Love Her So Much"
Grace:
"This page was inspired by the sketch for this month. I flipped it 90 degrees since my photos are vertical and not horizontal like on the sketch. The “love” part of my title was cut out from my electronic die cut machine using some glittered cardstock.
I love all of the “kitchen” stickers in this mini kit and I made sure to incorporate them here since my page has a “food” theme."
Grace used the following items from her personal stash to complete her layout:
Brown ink for edge distressing; Date Stamp; Black Ink pad; Scallop border punch; Scallop scissor; Circle Cutter; White Gel Pen

Here's this month's sketch, created by
Designer Lisa Hidy...
