December Kits ~ Design Team Extra Layouts

Good morning everyone!
Today we are featuring the extra layouts some of our designers created with this month's kits.

Our first feature was created by
Designer Grace Tolman
using several page kits included in this month's
combined with this month's
"Hohoho"
Grace:
"Since I was dealing with scraps, I punched them out as hexagon shapes and then added them on the left side of my page block. The space between the photos and the hexagons didn’t quite match up so I covered it with a sticker and some twine. I added some stickers and a tag to finish off the page."

Personal stash items used:
Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Hexagon punch (Creative Memories) Grey cardstock (Bazzill)

To create the beautiful layouts below
Designer Dee Hunt
used the
Carta Bella "Christmas Market" Page Kit
included in this month's
"Oh Christmas Tree"

"Sleigh Bell Ring, Are You Listening!"

And...using the
Simple Stories "Say Cheese Christmas" Page Kit
one of two kits included in the December
Designer Dee Hunt
created the lovely layout below:
"Warm Wishes"
Dee:
"Me and my girls at Disneyland."

December Kits~ Design Team Cards and Other Projects

Happy Monday!
Each of our page kits allow you to make 2-3 pages and then there is still enough product left over to create cards or other projects. Today we are showcasing a couple of cards and another project created with leftover product from some of our
page kits.

Designer Lisa Hidy
using scraps from tow of this month's page kits:

Treat bag holders and tags
created by
Designer Grace Tolman
using the scraps she had leftover this month from her
Doodlebug "Christmas Magic" Page Kit
Grace:
"Sometimes you just need a simple addition to your homemade treats to make them festive. I decided to add a pattern paper handle and some fun tags from the Doodlebug collection to my simple brown paper bags. I love how easy this project was and very versatile. It is also very easy to mass produce."

Personal stash items used
Brown paper bag, Red Twine (Doodlebug Design Inc.); Border punch (Fiskars)

We hope you were inspired today and will take some time to use up the scraps from your kits, and upload them to our gallery in the

December Freaky Fast Formula ~ Designer Grace Tolman

Hi everyone!
It's reveal day for the
December Freaky Fast Formula

Combining the formula with the
Doodlebug “Christmas Magic” Page Kit
one of the four kits included in this month's
Designer Grace Tolman
created the beautiful page below
"Handmade Cheers"
Grace:
"This is my page for the FFF challenge this month. Although the FFF measurements are supposed to make the process go fast, this page did not go easily for me. I had a hard time moving the papers around to my liking. It wasn’t fitting with my current style. I even had to cheat and cut out some ¼” strips of red paper to create a border around my white cardstock.
But after some moving around, I found my right formula for these papers and this is the page that I came up with. This just shows you that sometimes we need to be stretched and pulled out of our comfort zone in our creative pursuits.
I also had the hardest time finding a title. After many changes, I finally settled with some glittered pink alphas from my stash and a die cut from the collection.
My favorite part of this page was the gingerbread house. I brushed some glitter pen on parts of the house. You can’t see the glitter on it because it’s so subtle but I love how it turned out."
Personal stash items used:
Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things, Distress Ink); Letters (My Little Shoebox); Circle die (My Favorite Things); Corner rounder (EK Success); Glitter pen (Tonic Studios)

Inspired and want to try this month's formula,

November Kits Extra Design Team Layouts

Hello and welcome to our blog!
Today we are showcasing a few extra layouts created by our designers using product from our

First up is a lovely double page layout crated by
Designer Grace Tolman
To create this page, Grace combined some of the page kits included in the
with the
 "Let’s Go"
Grace:
"This is my extra page of the month and so I mixed all of the scraps from the 4 mini collections to dress this page up. I love how despite being from various collections and manufacturers, they can all blend together.
I had a hard time finding a title for this page. When I was looking at the Thickers set that I got, there was this word that said “let go”. It was nice but it didn’t fit my theme. But then there was a word next to it that said “rest”. I don’t like to break apart words but I knew that I would never use the word “rest” so I used the “s” in that word to make a title that said “Let’s Go”. I used a dot for an “I” for the apostrophe too. I feel so much better that I was able to make a title that fits better for my page and I used the items that I had on hand."

Personal stash items used:
Ink (Distress Ink); Border punch (Fiskars)

The next three layouts were created using product from the
Photoplay "Confetti" Page Kit
include in this month's

Designer Rochelle Spears
"Happy Birthday"

Designer Dee Hunt
"IHOP"
Dee:
"I made this extra layout as a complementary page to my celebrate layout."

Designer Dee Hunt
"Happy Birthday"
Dee:
"We can get one more sheet of black paper for my background from my stash.
And I was able to really stretch this collection into three layouts."

We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and while you are here, why not visit our websiteand check out the amazing kits we offer:

Nov. Flavors of the Month Kit Inspiration Day #4

Hello!

Here's the last page kit inspiration reveal of the
Take a look at what
Design Team Member
Grace Tolman
created using the
Simple Stories "So Happy Together" Page Kit:
"So Happy Together"
Grace shares this about her layout:
"The circles on my photo inspired the design of my page. And for an added variance from my normal page, I placed the photos on the edges, like book ends, instead of the center. I love how the circles in the center draw the eye from the top to the bottom.
I also liked the stickers in the sticker sheet as it provided me with lots of items to use for embellishing this page.  Stash items used: Ink (Distress Ink); Circle cutter (Creative Memories); Border punch (Fiskars)"

Below is the lovely layout
Designer Grace Tolman
inspired by the sketch using the
One Canoe Two Canoe "Willow" Page Kit
included in this month's
"Find Joy in the Ordinary"
Grace:
"This is my take on this month’s sketch. I love the overlapping papers on the right side and wanted to use that to show off the beautiful designs on the papers in this mini kit. But I did notice that some have similar shades. So to make sure they all stood out, I placed the dark maroon in between the turquoise papers so there is a definite distinction.
I love the flowers in one of the papers and knew that I needed to hand cut them and use them as embellishments. I hand cut a few and those that were cut out on the corner of the paper, I made sure to place them on the corner of the page too so you won’t ever know that they’re not the entire floral design.
The story that I documented for this page was inspired by the title sticker. When I saw that, I knew that it was the perfect title for this story of my beloved boots."
Personal stash items used:
Ink (Distress Ink); Circle cutter (Creative Memories)

Grace also created a process video to share with us:

October Freaky Fast Formula Inspiration ~ Designer Grace Tolman

Happy Friday everyone!
Today's feature is a layout created by
Designer Grace Tolman
based on this months formula using the
American Crafts-Amy Tangerine “Slice of Life” Page Kit
combined with this months
Embellishment Add On Kit:
"Smile, You are Amazing"
Grace:
"This is my take on this month’s Freaky Fast Friday challenge. I loved how the predetermined paper sizes really do make the process faster. I opted to use the strips of papers in the challenge as my top and bottom borders. I also cut out a fish tail banner on the other two papers to add banners to my page.
From there it was just a matter of “dressing” up the page which didn’t take long since there were many cute die cuts and foam stickers included in this mini kit."
Personal stash items used:
Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things, Distress ink)

September Kits ~ Design Team Card and Other Project Inspiration

Good morning!
What do you do with the leftover product from your kits?
Below are cards and projects some of our designers created with the leftover products from this month's kits.

Designer Rochelle Spears
created two beautiful cards using the

Designer Grace Tolman
created a set of amazing
Autumn Treat Boxes
from some of the product she had leftover from her
FOTM ~ Carta Bella "Fall Market" Page Kit

Grace:
"I usually create three cards every month, but this time I wanted to switch things up a bit. I loved the papers and stickers from the Carta Bella line but I didn’t have any pictures to match so I just made some treat boxes with the themed products.
I used a tutorial from You Tube to create my boxes. You can find it here- https://youtu.be/LgYmZyk4MHg
I wrapped some twine to the belly band of the boxes for a “natural” feel to it."
Personal stash items used:
Brown Twine (American Crafts); 123 Punch board (We R Memory Keepers)

Using products leftover products from the
FOTM ~ Vicki Bolton "Wildflowers & Honey" Page Kit
Designer Dee Hunt

September Kits - Design Team Extra Layouts

Hello creative friends!
Today we are featuring extra layouts created by some of our design team members using the September kits.
First up is an amazing layout created by
Designer Rochelle Spears
"You Are Awesome"
Rochelle:
"I used the My Mind's Eye page kit along with the embellishment kit to create this layout."

Designer Grace Tolman
created the 2 page layout below
"Love Spring Break"
Products used:
Some FOTM page kits combined with the Embellishment Add On kit
Stash items used:
Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Border punch (EK Success);
White Cardstock
Grace:
"This is my “extra layout” for this month. I love how, despite the mini kits being from different companies and with differing themes, they somehow still blend really well together. This layout is an example of that. There’s a little bit from the four collection but they didn’t clash with each other. The bonus, this page is a spring themed page and yet I was still able to use some papers that have a ‘fall” theme to them."

The next page was created by
Designer Dee Hunt
using the
Vicky Boutin "Wildflowers & Honey" Page Kit
"Enjoy Today"
Dee:
"With my October paper I was able to make the Awesome page!"
.
Designer Rochelle Spears
also created the layout below:
"Wonder"
Rochelle:
"I used the Pink Paislee Page kit from the Doubleshot Kit to create this layout. It was actually the 2nd layout I created with this page kit, so all the pieces are "scrap" peices that came together great!"

And our last featured page was created by
Designer Dee Hunt
using the
Pink Paislee "Truly Grateful" Page Kit
Dee:
"In the upper left corner and bottom right I splattered some gold mist. The pink paper for the circle is from my stash."

"Be Unique"
Grace:
"This is my take on this month’s sketch. I liked the banners and circle but I felt like it needed something more so I added the epoxy banner stickers to the top right edge. It also became a visual triangle element which I used to connect with the black title letter words (bottom right) and black heart (center left).
I didn’t have the square photos so instead, I used 4 3x4 photos.
I inked the edged with some orange ink pad so that I can created emphasis to the shapes but also to add more “fall” colors into the page."

Personal stash items used:
