"This Amy Tangerine collection is awesome, when subdivided. LOL! Rochelle did an amazing job picking papers, I would totally have picked the same ones. The embellishments are, well, another story. Not her fault. So I chose the embellishments from my selection that color coordinated with the beautiful pink, teal/mint green (ongoing debate) and blacks in the lovely patterned papers. And, of course, fussy cut flowers! I love that Rochelle always includes a cuttable patterned paper thus providing for more embellishments.
Can you tell I got a new printer? A large format printer! I have been all about the large photos lately!

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day! Now, it's time to start off our week with this lovely layout created by Design Team Member Dee Hunt! Dee used the American Crafts "It's All Good" Page Kit from the May 2019 Doubleshot Kit to create her layout. "Peachy Keen"
Dee said this about her layout:
"I was challenged by a fellow scrapbooker to work with the peach paper in my layout. I feed I did a good job working it in. I used Heidi Swapp Coloe Shine Mister on the background. This is my granddaughter and her cousin having lunch together."
"The colors and sparkle in the Sparkle City kit was perfect for pulling out this picture of our family at Disney World!! This was my boys 1st time at Disney and we did Go Big!! Such a magical experience and so glad to got to do it together! I added some spray ink from my stash to the background."
Grace Tolman "Lovely Day"
Grace said this about her layout:
"The design for this layout really started off with the paper that had the slanted or diagonal “wonderful” printed on it. I wanted to incorporate it but I also didn’t want to ruin the placement of the text so I cut it slanted too. This also allowed me to spread it on my two page layout. I filled the rest with pattern paper and the photos so it won’t look too plain. The camera paper seemed busy enough for me that I didn’t want to incorporate anything more that would distract it. Unfortunately, I also needed it to be more dimensional so it would have a little bit more interest. To fix my problem, I added the silver/foil foam dots in the word thickers sheet to some of the cameras. It was just the right amount of dimension to make them more interesting.
Since the photos are of our little field trip to the truck yard, I decided to add the truck sticker but it had some images on the trailer that didn’t quite mesh with my theme, so I just cut it out and used just the truck image. Products used: American Crafts/Shimelle Sparkle City + Embellishment kit Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Distress mini ink pad, Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things)"
"I liked the patterns in this mini kit, but they were a little bit out of my comfort zone. Since the papers had busy designs on them already, I decided to create my embellishments within the images so as not to add more contrast or compete with the already existing patterns. I fuzzy cut some of the cameras and then added them right on top of the existing image with some foam adhesive. This way, I added some layers to my layout but didn’t have to introduce new designs/images.
Personal Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Black, My Favorite Things); Scallop border punch (Fiskars)"

"Life is an Adventure"
Grace said this about her layout:
"Once I saw the page with all the flowers, I knew that I had to handcut them. They became a really bold design for this page of my daughter. And it worked well since most of the images were simple except for the color of the leaves in the background. I added some of the flowers with foam adhesive to show dimension and add more interest. I also added some black Nuvo drops to some of the flower centers for a more finished look. Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Black, My Favorite Things); Letter stickers (Authentique); Nuvo Drops (Black)"
It's time to start sharing inspiration from the different page kits within the April 2018 Flavors of the Month Kit!
First up, is American Crafts Shimelle "Box of Crayons" Page Kit.
Here's a couple of layouts from our DT:
"Be Okay to Show Your True Colors"
By: Lisa Hidy
Lisa said this about her layout:
"If you love bright colors like I do this is the perfect kit for you! I loved the colors sticker in the embellishment kit and knew I wanted to use that in my title...so I added small letter stickers from my stash to the sticker and used it as part of my title! The small letter stickers included in the kit are perfect when doing a long title. I also added some Thickers from my stash to give this long title more visual interest with various fonts! I had fun with this layout doing something a bit different and placing my photos at both sides of the background paper and surrounding them with a bunch of embellishments. I used the big flower die cut to tie the photos together. My son and his friend were having so much fun in these pictures I felt like doing something a bit different on this layout.
I also used the chameleon sticker from the embellishment kit and circle dies from my stash to pop up the toucan sticker."
"How perfect is the American Crafts Stay Colorful kit for this picture of my niece with her unicorn that we got her for Christmas?!?!?! I loved all this paper in this kit so much that it was hard to decide how I was using it. Thankfully, I have enough left to do another layout using the same kit! I love cutting the brand strips off the bottom of the papers and then using them as part of my layout! I added some spray ink from my stash for the background and used pieces from the Embellishment Kit as well."
"Converse Twins" By : Lisa Hidy
Lisa said this about her layout:
"The beautiful colors in this kit were perfect for these fun pictures of my friends daughter and her BFF. I love how American Crafts wastes no paper by having one side of the end strips be a fun print! I used the 3 end strips to make my own pattern paper by adhering them to a piece of cardstock! The patterns in this kit mix so beautifully together, don't be afraid to use a piece as your background as I did here!
From my stash: letter stickers, lavendar cardstock, enamel dots
"I had fun playing with the fun patterns in this kit. The colors were a perfect match for my niece's snow gear. I love the playful penguin as an added accent to these playful photos of my niece sledding on a rare snow day here in February in Texas! I just love the fun whimical nautre of this kit with the on trend pops of gold!!
FROM MY STASH: enamel dots, black distress ink & white pen."
"A Rare Moment"
By Ashley Smith
Ashley shares this about her layout: "I fussy cut the flowers from the patterned paper and placed the embellishment clusters in a diagonal line starting in the bottom left hand corner."
Ashley used the Embellishment Kit and letter stickers from her stash.
"Its' the Little Things" by: Heather Guy
Heather shares this about her layout: "Welcome my 2 beautiful nieces!! These are the first pictures of them that I have gotten to scrap! And having all boys, I love getting to scrap girls! This Pink Paislee kit was perfect! I turned the sketch to make it work for my vertical pictures and from my stash I used a paper doily and some twine."
