"I was just having fun working with small stripes to create this layout."

March Kits Layout ~ Designer Grace Tolman

"Webelos Day Camp"

Grace:

"I had a few smaller photos for this event and they happened to be mostly horizontal photos so I laid 8 of them (4 on top and 4 on the bottom) as my “book end” for my layout design. I then placed one of my larger paper scrap and placed that on the center where it housed my title, journaling and three more photos. I also added some stickers to the page to give it that whimsy, child-like design that reminded me of the younger “scout” years of my son."

Design Team Extra Projects - February Kits

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today we are featuring some of the extra projects created by our designers using their leftover products from the February kits.

Designer Grace Tolman

used leftover product from all four page kits included in the 

Flavors of the Month Kit

combined with this month's

Embellishment Add On Kit 

to create the layout, as well as the set of cards below:

Sam’s Club Shenanigans

Grace:

"Since I have a lot of photos on this page, I kept the pattern papers in the center. I used the triangle technique to incorporate more patterns into this one block. And to make the title stand out, I added a buffer of vellum in between the papers and letter stickers.

I also combined stickers and chipboard accents from various mini kits in the FOTM in this layout. I liked that despite being from varying companies and collections, they blend together well.

Personal Stash items used: 

Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Black, My Favorite Things); Vellum (WorldWin Cardstock); Alphabet stickers (Doodlebug Design Inc. and October Afternoon)"

Valentine Card Set: 

Grace:

"When I make cards with the scraps of my FOTM kits, I usually go with the smaller scraps, and these three cards represent that very well. Two of them have small square blocks of the papers added onto a cardstock as a focal point of the card. I just added some chipboard stickers to finish the card off.

The card in the center has three paper scraps combined and then I added a flower stickers and foam element to finish off the card. I also rounded two corners of them for a different look.

"This was all I have leftover from my kit after making my first layout. I did add a light blue dot and gray dot paper notes to the page. My granddaughter was at Detroit museum of art where she was able to get this photo of her with this beautiful flower dress."

Just a reminder that you can create at least two to three pages from each page kit,

which allows you to create 12 to 16 pages with the

Flavors of the Month Kit

and

6 to 8 pages using the

DoubleShot Kit

Heather:

"This is an extra layout I was able to make by combining the scraps from two of the collections plus the embellishment add on kit. I used a border punch to create the scalloped strip of yellow paper. And I added some letter stickers from my own stash for part of the title."

Designer Robin Redd

created the amazing layout below utilizing the

Shots of Life Pocket Page Kit

"Sactown"

Robin:

I started with a white piece of card stock from my stash.

I used Maggie Holmes (Crate Paper) Carnival Patterned Paper from the September Patterned Paper kit.

I used a few of the pocket page pieces from Maggie Holmes (Crate Paper) Carousel Sheet in the September Shots of Life kit. The cardstock stickers, banner, 'lovely', flower and bow are on the Maggie Holmes (Crate Paper) Sticker sheet that you can, also, find in the September Shots of Life kit.

The hearts and stars came from the September Embellishment Kit on the Maggie Holmes (Crate Paper) Puffy Phrase & Accent Sticker sheet.The alphabet stickers and stamped date are from my stash.

And our last layout was created by

Shots of Life Kit

"Today & Everyday"

Heather:

"I love the bright bold colors of the American Crafts,Justle and Heart Paper and heart puffy stickers from the Shots of Life kit! When I received this kit, I absolutely loved it! And, OH MY GOODNESS, I loved how it turned out! I mixed and matched and cut to make them fit into what I needed! This was the 1st time I made a layout without planning what pictures I was using. I just created and then searched and printed pictures. From my personal stash, I added white cardstock, "& Everyday" alphas, yellow twine and a couple of Tim Holtz phrases."

"To dress up this page, I used product from the Embellishment Kit. I also added a doily and twine from my stash. This hat and coat reminds me so much of a Princess Diana look."

"Easter Fashion"

Dee:

"This year's Easter fashion was quite fun. The long sleeve dress was actually her Christmas dress that she mistakenly thought was her Easter dress. As you can see both dresses look very similar but the Easter one is sleeveless. I used a punch by Martha Stewart to create the doily."

"I used the extra scraps from my last layout to create this layout. I made the pocket from using another pocket as a template. Title is from my personal stash."

This page kit was so much fun to work with and great for scrapping photos of my granddaughters.

Everything is included in the kit with the exceptions of the phrase stickers, twine and sticker alphas, which I added from my personal stash!

Rochelle:

"Love the butterflies in this collection. I fussy cut them out to highlight them on the page. The colors in this page kit is different from a lot of other collections right now and I love that!"

Dee:

"These are the last photos I have of my grandmother taken with a very old phone because she never liked having her photos taken so I had to sneak it. 

I used scraps leftover from two February kits to make this layout."
