Happy Hump Day!

For the past few days we have been featuring page kits that are including in the
 March Flavors of the Month kit. 
So today's reveal is PinkFresh "Felicity" page kit, but first we are 
sharing this wonderful layout by Designer Steffanie:

"This was such a completely different collection than anything I would normally play with---and it was so fun! I decided that the birds would work in perfectly for these photos of my kitty napping. And since she is a girl, the pink worked in really well!

Simple Stories Page Kit Reveal & Inspiration

Hello! Today we are sharing another awesome page kit, Simple Stories "Life in Color", that comes in the
March Flavors of the Month kit. 
But first, lets share a couple of beautiful layout from our Design team: 

"The Good Stuff"

Devra used the Simple Stories page kit along with a few items from the

Embellishment Add On kit to create this layout.  

She said this about her layout:

"Those triangles spoke to me and I wanted to use them in a bold way. I cut 3 of the strips apart and layered them until I had a look that I liked. To balance all of the angles, I added various sizes circles. circles. To balance color, I placed strips of paper at the top of the page as well as a few red inked wood stars from my stash"

Brenda shares this about her layout:

"It was so much fun creating this layout using the Simple Stories "Life In Color" Page Kit. This collection has such fun patterns and vibrant colors that really pop against the black cardstock! To complete my page I also used the Simple Stories Bits and Pieces and the wood veneer hear found in the March Embellishment Kit. I am looking forward to making another page with the leftovers from this kit."

"I really love these papers and how they pop off the black background.  Some of the die cuts are from the Embellishment Add-On kit which is a great kit to subscribe to if you're anything like me (love embellishments!).  The twine is from my personal stash and the sketch from Scrapbook Generations."

February 2016 Month In Review "Recipe Card"

Hello TSR Subscribers

As some of you already know, we have made a small change to the

Month In Review Recipe Card.

Previously, The ScrapRoom created the Month In Review layouts 

a month behind...for instance when we uploaded the layouts for the January kits.

the Month In Review layout would be a December Month in Review layout.

As of January 2016, the Month In Review layouts will be for 

the current month.

We did not add the February Month In Review in the 

private recipe group, so here it is using the 

February FOTM Simple Storie "You & Me" Page Kit:

For the month in review layout I stretched the 

February "Be Our Guest" Sketch into a 2 page layout

(Note this is the only time we will post the recipe on the blog and include a sketch with the recipe cards.  You will continue to receive the recipes in your kits)

And here is the recipe to use to complete your page:

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS:

“Love Story” Patterned Paper (Polka dots)
(1) 12” x 7” (Cut into two pieces as follows: 4 ¼” x 7” (Left) and 7 ¾” x 7” (Right)

“Love Story” Patterned Paper (Stripes)
(2) 12” x 3/8”                                       

(1) 12” x ½” (Cut into two pieces as follows: 5” x ½” (Left) and 7” x ½” (Right)                                                          (1) 8 1/8” x 3/8”
(1) 7 ¾” x 3 /8”

“Kiss the Girl” Patterned Paper (Woodgrain) 

 (1) 4” x 2 ½”  

 (1) 8 1/8” x 1”  

 (1) 7 ¾” x 1”  

"Kiss the Girl" Patterned Paper (Floral)

(1) 3 3/4" x 4 1/4"

PHOTOS:

LEFT SIDE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Start with cardstock base.
2.  Adhere "Love Story" 5" x 1/2" patterned paper 2" from the top and flush with the right side of the base.
3. Layer and adhere 4" x 2 1/2" "Kiss the Girl" (woodgrain) patterned paper 1 1/4" from the top and 1 1/2" from the right side of the base.
4. Layer and adhere 4 1/4" x 7" "Love Story" (Polka Dots) Patterned Paper, 2 1/2" from the top and flush with the right side of the base. 
5. Align the 3 3/4" x 4 1/4" "Kiss the Girl" (Floral) paper,  with the bottom and 1/8" to the right of the 4 1/4" x 7" "Love Story" paper.
6. Adhere the 8 1/8" x 1" "Kiss the Girl" (woodgrain) paper, 1/8" below the last to papers and flush with the right side of the base.
7. Align and adhere 8 1/8" x 3/8" "Love Story" (striped) paper, 1/8" below the woodgrain paper and flush with the right side of the base. 
8. Adhere the 12" x 3/8" "Love Story" (striped) paper flush with the top of the base.
9. Adhere the 7" x 3/8" "Love Story" (polka dots) paper flush with the bottom edge of the 12" x 3/8" Love Story" paper and flush with the left side of the base.

RIGHT SIDE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Start with cardstock base.
2. Adhere "Love Story" 7" x 1/2" (striped) paper,  2" from the top and flush with the left side of the base.
3. Layer and adhere 7 3/4" x 7" "Love Story" (Polka Dots) paper, 2 1/2" from the top and flush with the left side of the base.
4. Adhere the 7 3/4" x 1" "Kiss the Girl" (woodgrain) paper, 1/8" below the & 3/4" x 7" Love Story" paper and flush with right side of the base. 
5. Adhere the 7 3/4" x 3/8" "Love Story" (striped) paper, 1/8" under the 7 3/4" x 1" "Kiss the Girl" paper and flush with the left side of the base.
6. Adhere 12" x 3/8"  "Love Story" (striped) paper flush with the top of the base. 

Embellish layout as desired.

The tags and tab were cut from the patterned paper in the kit using punches.  The title work and word stickers are from the February Embellishment Kit.   

Pebbles Page Kit Reveal with "Be Our Sketch" Challenge Inspiration

Good Morning!

Today we are introducing one of the four page kits in the March Flavors of the Month kit 

along with a fantastic layout from one of our Designers, Brenda Ragsdale.

Here is Brenda’s layout inspired by the “Be Our Guest”sketch challenge:

"Hello"

 

Here's what Brenda shares about her layout:

"What a great sketch to work with... I rotated the sketch 90° to the right, and instead of using 3 photos I used one photo and one of the journaling cards from the kit. To complete my page I also used the "B" side of the Pebbles "Honeybee" paper from the March Patterned Paper Kit , the gold arrow paperclip and the AC Foil words are from the FOTM Crate Paper "Bloom" Page Kit and the title work "Hello" is from the Pebbles " Word Stickers" included in the March Embellsihment Kit. I hope my layout and/or the sketch inspires you to create a layout and share with us. I would love to see how this sketch inspires you."
