"My kitty got the "Posh" spotlight with this FOTM kit featuring Simple Stories. She was so stinking cute as a baby, wasn't she? Hard to believe this was 10 years ago...ah, I digress. This kit has some fun clips and a fantastic sticker sheet that even includes some alphas. I think the colors are a really nice combination as well as the different patterns---you have your floral, some stripe, dots and even a map print. Really nice variety. I love the coral pink---probably my favorite shade of pink and perfect for my kitty! There are some tiny text phrases in this collection as well. I used some of them and then actually created a couple more on my own to mimic them and make them more personal with name, date and a kitty reference. Makes me so happy to see these photos scrapped on such pretty paper!"
Items used from my Steffanie's personal stash to complete her page:
Washi tape, tiny sticker alphas, die-cut word "Love", and mist.
Designer TinaGale's take on the sketch was created using
"For this page I flipped the sketch. I love to ink my edges as you can see.
I even inked the wood doily that I added from my stash." Here's the sketch...

"I am loved this kit when I saw it and knew it would be perfect paired with this month's formula
and these adorable Halloween photos of my great-nieces and nephew.
Everything to create this layout is from the page kit with the exception of the
Simple Stories Word Strip from the October Embellishment Add On Kit,
the Thickers from a previous TSR Kit and the Rub On Alphas."
And Designer Rochelle Spears created the layout below using the leftover scraps from the American Crafts "Oh Happy Life" Page Kit
one of two kits included in the October DoubleShot Kit:

Rochelle said this about her layout: "I love documented family events and these paper are perfect! I used the scraps from the Flavors of the Month Echo Park page kit along with the extra papers from the Patterned Paper Add-On kit and the stickers from the Embellishment Add-On kit. There's so much more you can do when you mix the kits together! Twine is from personal stash."
"Fall is in the air over at The ScrapRoom. The Carta Bella page kit has really traditional fall colors and patterns. When I saw the kit I loved the tags that came with it and decided that I wanted to layer those on my page. Of course, I am a sucker for the cut-apart sheet too. I thought the leaf patterned paper was really cute, but with my photos and tags it felt a little busy, so instead I fussy cut some of the leaves to just add to my page as an embellishment. To finish off the page I added this twine from my stash."

"Fabulous" by Dee Hunt
"This was a extra page use this line of paper. I added a doily and flowers from my stash. A little touch of a dark brown ink on the edge just bump up the page."
"I love You" by Rochelle Spears
"I'm so glad I was able to use this paper to create a layout of my daughter when she as younger. It worked so well with the photos! I love the flower paper... it was so easy and fun to fussy cut and add to layout for more embellishing. I used a stencil and ink for my background and everything is from the page it, except the twine and title."
Today we are showcasing a lovely layout created by DT Cassie
inspired by this month's sketch
using the
Sept/Oct Shots of Life Pocket Page Kit
combined with the
October Patterned Paper Add On Kit
"Farm Fresh"
Cassie:
"This sketch was super easy to work with. Instead of the large circle I decided to add this fun die cut behind my photos. I also changed up the 4x6 photo and decided to use 2 3x4 photos. Once the sketch was rotated I would have needed a horizontal 6x4 photo, and all the photos I took of these cool pumpkins were verticals…so problem solved! I paired the Bella Blvd 12x12 patterned papers from the Patterned Paper Add-On Kit with the Bella Blvd goodies in the Shots of Life Kit to create this page. It really makes scrapping easy when the supplies are all from the same line. This allows me to get more bang for my buck. I love how the 6x8 papers are the same pattern but on a smaller scale, this makes them perfect for the text circles and the title card. I finished the page off with stickers from the sticker sheet and some homemade enamel dots."

"The Patterned Paper Add-On Kit also has papers from I Love Family by Echo Park to it made creating a page using the Add-On Kit and Shots of Life Kit super easy. I really loved the hexagon paper and decided to do a strip of that across my page. After all my papers were layered and I added my photos I then added embellishments included in the Shots of Life Kit and even cut some of them from extra pocket page cards. I finished off the page with some star sequins from my stash."

Here's a look at what our Designer Cassie Wiscarson created using the
"I love scrapping family photos. This past summer we did several short day trips and I am really excited to get this documented. I might have went a little overboard taking photos, because I was having a blast playing with my new lens for my big DSLR camera. I immediately loved the colors in the I Love Family line from Echo Park. I first cut apart the sheets of cards and then went busy figuring out which pictures to use. In the end I created this two page spread using two different styles of pocket pages. The Echo Park cards are so well designed that they can just be put into the pockets and the layout feels complete. Simple can still look beautiful and finished!"

Cassie shares this about her layout:
"I have never been good at remembering to stage a cute photo op of my daughter in her costume before Halloween. So that means I usually end up with pictures that I don’t love, which makes Halloween one of my least favorite holidays to scrap. This line from Bella Blvd that was in the Shots of Life Kit was so cute! So I decided to dig through my digital photos to create a pocket page of my daughter going all the way back to her first costume. The Shots of Life Kit doesn’t come with actual pocket page cards, but you get part of the 6x8 paper pad and I was able to easily create these cards in just a couple minutes by cutting the paper and adding some stickers from the sticker sheet. In the end, I decided to just go with cute cards and leave off any space for journaling, but there are some papers that would be easy to write on."
