Doubleshot Kit Recipe Cards Now Available

Hello There! 

We had a number of requests for Recipe Cards for the Doubleshot Kit.... so we listened!

Starting this month we will have 2 Recipe Cards for the Doubleshot Kit available every month!

For now, the recipes will be emailed to all of the DS Kit Members until we update the website to accommodate the new recipe cards. :)

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! 

If you are a subscriber of the Flavors of the Month kit, you receive access to 

the October recipe cards which are available now on The ScrapRoom website.

 Please refer to the newsletter in the kit for the password to unlock the recipes!   :)

For those of you who do not know, the "recipe cards" are step-by-step instructions to create (4) double page layouts (one from each page kit within the Flavors of the Month kit.)

WooHoo it's Friday and reveal day for our

October Freaky Fast Formula

The formula's are created by one of our designers each month for the purpose of encouraging you to create a layout in a short period of time, when you have little or no time to scrap!

Here is the October formula:

"Adorable Girl"

Steffanie:

"This kit really put me to the challenge! It is not only girly but has that nostalgic vibe as well. My first thought was my cat but she is a calico which didn't really go with these colors. Then the light bulb went on...maybe there were some old photos from my childhood that I could use. When I saw these two pics, I knew they were perfect. Made me not only get my childhood self on a page, but I also had never scanned and printed an older photo. You know what? It was relatively painless. 

After that was done, the rest actually came along pretty easily. I arranged scrap pieces of paper in the dimensions specified until I got something I liked. Then selected papers and started cutting. I added a little machine stitching to the long vertical piece. My mom did some sewing back in the day so I thought this was fitting, although I'm not sure if she really made many of my clothes. I pulled a little washi tape from my own stash, and some mist, but otherwise, everything you see is from The ScrapRoom. Easy Peasy!"

"Such beautiful papers....awesome colors and designs!  When I saw this page kit I knew exactly what photos I would use.  For my page design I used the October Sketch from my blog which worked out well with the kit!   You will love the bits and pieces included in the kit...it's always nice to have really nice embellishments to enhance your page.   
All items used to create my layout were from the kit with the exception of the Simple Stories Word Stickers and Paperclips included in the October Embellishment Add On Kit.
The twine and title work are from my personal stash."
