May JumpStart Sketch Inspiration ~ Designer Lisa Hidy

Happy Monday everyone!

Today we are showcasing the beautiful layout

created inspired by the

May JumpStart Sketch

using the 

Pebbles "Sun & Fun" Page Kit 

included in this month's

Flavors of the Month Kit

"Best Day Ever"

Lisa:

"I loved the bold bright colors of this line! I followed the sketch almost to a "T", since the sketch didn't call for a title I used the ephemera piece "Best Summer Ever" for my title! So quick & easy! I love using colored cardstock for background but to make some of the papers "pop" I mounted them on white cardstock to give more contrast. I also outline my triangles and flags to give more visual interest. This is such a fun line!

Today, we are sharing this awesome layout by Suzanna:

"Open Water"

Here's what Suzanna said this about her layout:
"This collection from Fancy Pants has a rather feminine feel to it (in my opinion) but it was perfect to document this story of my son in Florida for Open Water Nationals. I really liked how the crop of the picture emphasized how tall and skinny this string bean of mine is. All the different patterned papers cut to a similar tall, rectangle helped emphasize that point. The round elements in my selection of ephemera helped soften the angles of all those rectangles. I sure do hope we will be able to get back to traveling again soon; I sure could use some of that sunshine! I know he won't complain of the bright sun in his eyes anytime soon! Be sure to head over to the YouTube channel for a process video to see how this layout came together!"
