Hi everyone. Today, I wanted to share a super easy yet bold idea for your Project Life pages. When I was putting together this page of my sons in their matching Easter ties, I just kept coming back to the idea that I wanted to use a lot of pink to match the boys' ties. Lucky for me, one of the Basic Grey papers in the Flavors of the Month kit is all pink. And another sheet of paper was blue and green, which matches the shirts and bushes in my pictures. An idea was born.
I decided to create a title on the filler cards right in the middle of the page. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the white letters spelling Easter.
This bowtie image allowed me to create striped tie like my youngest's. To really give the page some pop, I used black accents. A polka dot brad and black foam word from the Simple Stories I Am Flavor of the Month kit.
I really love how bold and graphic this page is. And yet, I think it still focuses on my sons' ties. I hope you like this idea and give it a try sometime. Here is another layout using the same style.
Let's kick off the weekend with an adorable two-page layout that you can create with your Fancy Pants Flutter Layout kit in this month's April Flavors of the Month Kit (if you haven't already used your Flutter kit to create one of the great layouts showcased on our blog earlier this week). Brenda created this layout to be her March "Month In Review" layout, and you can do the same. Just print out a few favorite photos in 4x6 and 3x4 sizes and scatter them across both pages. Add some journaling strips, and voila...memories captured!
TSR members can download our April Recipe Cards HERE, complete with a full-color photo, cutting instructions and step-by-step assembly directions by using the recipe card password that was included in your April FOTM Kit.
We're showcasing another Fancy Pants Flutter layout today, and this one comes to you from Guest Designer, Deborah Doyno... and she used this month's sketch as her starting point. I love the vertical grid and the interesting layers of papers and embellishments that highlight her focal photo. So cute!
This month's sketch comes to you from www.pagemaps.com. Becky Fleck consistently creates the best scrapbooking sketches month after month. Thanks Becky for inspiring us!
We're taking another look at a layout featuring the Fancy Pants Flutter layout kit in this month's Flavors of the Month kit. Today's layout comes from Brenda Ragsdale and highlights one photo with some quick-and-easy paper and embellishment layering.
Today's inspiration features a lovely layered layout by Rochelle Spears using the Fancy Pants Flutter layout kit in the April 2015 Flavors of the Month Kit. I love the dimension of the layered die-cuts!
Hi there friends. I thought I would pop in for a second to share a quick tip that I use for adhering my alphabet stickers so that they will be straight. All you need is a clear ruler. First, I adhere the letters onto the ruler using the marks for spacing and to keep them straight.
Then I hold the ruler over the area where I want them to go. Being able to see through the ruler helps me find just the right spot and helps me keep them straight.
I lay down the ruler and push the tops of the letters so that they are stuck down well. Then while holding my hand over the tops of the letters, I carefully peel the ruler off the bottom of the letters.
I hope you are able to use this quick and easy trick for adhering your letters nice and straight. Thanks for stopping by!
